This diploma thesis named Civic amenities in Pacov in the 1960s examines a civic amenities in the town of Pacov in the 1960s within regional history. The main purpose of this thesis is to describe the development of defined areas of civic amenities (health care, retail network, communal services) providing some (basic) needs of citizens in the chosen city and time period. The primary source of this research are the archival sources from the examined period. This thesis at first introduces the research topic and purposes of the work, important concepts and sources used, then the national historical context of the examined period. The main part of the thesis follows: a description of the development of specific areas of civic amenities. The thesis ends with visual materials related to the topic. Urban green spaces and its institutional framework

The thesis Urban green spaces and its institutional framework attempts to analyze different cases of urban green spaces foundation and administration in which various public and private entities act. Based on these foundations it tries to come with an overview of the most important forms of provision of greenery in cities. Through research of available literature we came to the understanding that greenery in urban environments is not just a result of municipal service provided by a public authority but to its foundation, administration, financing and maintenance contribute also other entities. The overview created in the thesis is not exhaustive but can serve as an inspiration for various subjects at a time when local public authorities do not have sufficient resources to ensure satisfactory range and quality of public green.

External provision of local public services

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the external provision of local public services. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes public goods and their provision, efficiency and local public goods. Next is describes public procurement and existing researches of external provision of local public services in Czech Republic. The practical part describes chosen municipalities and own analysis of selected local public services. This thesis researched these services: communal waste, public lighting, undertaker, upkeeping of local parkway, public green and cleaning of wasterwater.

Analýza jednotlivých druhů veřejných služeb poskytovaných na úrovni municipality a způsob jejich financování

Tato práce analyzuje veřejné služby poskytované na úrovni nižších územně správních celků v České republice. V úvodní části se zaměřuje na jejich klasifikaci, na subjekty, které jsou s veřejnými službami spojené, a na formy jejich financování. Stranou nezůstává ani otázka kvality a dostupnosti. V praktické části jsou rozebírány údaje z městského úřadu v Tanvaldě, a to s akcentem na sociální služby. Poslední kapitola se zabývá organizační formou zabezpečování veřejných služeb - konkrétně v komunální oblasti - a jejím vlivem na nákladovou efektivnost.
